
A news item that caught our eye this week was about Marks and Spencer. This staple of the British high street is set to open a huge new store, when many companies are contracting, in the Trafford Centre.
If you know Manchester well, you're perhaps aware that it closed a small M&S Food Hall in Piccadilly Gardens, on the corner of Mosley Street, a while ago yet still has a flagship store on Market Street, next to Selfridge's, along with others at Manchester Fort, Ancoats retail park and Prestwich, to name but three.
M&S, like many retailers, may be feeling the pinch, but this hasn't stopped plans for expansion in the Trafford Centre with a store on a huge scale, expected to be a commercial success.
M60 Office Park thinks big too. It already has three huge office spaces let in Beech Court, Oak Court and Maple Court with Elm Court attracting lots of business interest.
